disassembling the GP32 ---------------------- notes ------- Printed Circuit Board (PCB)... seperate inner layer for ground & vcc keep yourself & gp32 anti-static and try to avoid touching circuitry as much as possibly all 10 screws are the same, so you just keep them all at a safe place accessing the back side of the PCB (RAM, JTAG, SMC) --------------------------------------------------- power off GP32 disconnect any cables remove the joystick (just pull it) remove battery lid remove batteries unscrew 6 screws remove back cover remove shoulderbuttons and power button apply modifications or continue disassembling put back shoulderbuttons and power button put back cover on again and screw it put on the joystick place batteries put on the battery lid pray power on accessing the front side of the PCB (CPU, flash) ------------------------------------------------ follow steps described above disconnect the 2 speakers unscrew and remove the gray border plastic unscrew 2 screws located on the PCB below the shoulderbuttons loosen the PCB by pushing the 4 plastics carefully by hand lift the PCB a bit to get access to the display socket pull up the black bar that is on the socket pull out the display cable, do not try to bend anything put away the top cover + display. don't flip it and don't scratch the display. flip the PCB apply modifications take top cover again and put display cable back into the socket don't let it slip away and use the white plastic and your nails to insert it further lock the cable again using the black bar place PCB in right position and fit gray border plastic screw border plastic screw PCB connect speakers
